  • What is the maximum occupancy of the property?
    The villa has 1 bedroom with a queen bed. There is a pullout couch and inflatable air mattress that can be set up in the living room. For your comfort, the max occupancy is 3.
  • What is the villa close to?
    Our beach villa is in very remote community. Aside from beach and ocean activites, you will need a car to get to any shops and restaurants. Driving times from villa: 15 min: Abaco Big Bird Family Farm 25 min: Airport / Grocery store / coffee / shops / Pete's Pub 30 min: Cherokee Long Dock 35 min: Marsh Harbour / Abaco Beach Club / Sandy Point
  • Is there WiFi?
    Of course. We're not savages.
  • Does the Villa have air conditioning?
    Yes, there are 2 split unit air conditioners that are individually controlled by remote.
  • Is smoking allowed in the Villa?
    Smoking is strictly forbidden inside and on the deck. If you need to smoke, take a nice walk on the beach.
  • Is there a local property manager available if I need assistance during my stay?

  • Are beach towels or other beach gear provided?
    Beach towels, beach chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, and sunhats are available on site.
  • Is the kitchen stocked with food?
    While there are basic supplies (spices, oil, flour, etc), you will need to bring your own food. We recommend stopping by the grocery store next to the airport once you land, before driving to the villa.
  • What beach gear is provided?
    The villa has beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, beach chairs, Kayaks (1 seaters + 2 seater), and 2 snorkle sets.
  • What are the house rules?
    No smoking in the house Please try and take your shoes off before going inside (sand gets everywhere) No fires on the beach No swimming at night
  • Is there a washer and dryer?
    Yes, a washer and dryer is avaialble in unit.
  • Does the villa have a BBQ?
    Yes, there is an electric BBQ on the deck. Please do not bring it inside.
  • Is the property accessible for people with disabilities?
    Because the Villa is on the beach it is lifted to protect from flooding. You will need to climb 1 flight of stairs to enter the villa.
  • What's the deal with the power outages?
    In 2019 Hurricane Dorian destroyed 50% of all structures on the island. This was a huge blow to the island and the electrical infrastructure is still being rebuilt. You might experience a power outage during your stay that will last minutes to a few hours. If this happens to you, enjoy it! You are staying in one of the most beautiful places in the world with a beach and ocean all to yourselves. We have a backup battery in the Villa to keep the Wifi running and to charge all your devices. Additionally our property managers are available 24/7 if needed.
  • Is it safe to drink tap water, or should I stick to bottled water?
    The villa is on well water and is perfectly safe to consume it and cook with it. We recommend sticking to drinking the filtered water from the refrigerator dispenser just in case guests are not used to well water. The ice maker also uses filtered water.
  • How do I make a reservation and secure my booking?
    You can book through Airbnb here. For short-term / long term rentals...shoot us a message for discounted pricing.
  • What time is Check-in / Checkout?
    Check-in is 3pm, Checkout is 11am. Early / Late check in is based soley on availability. As long as our cleaning crew isn't in a rush to prep for the next guest, you are welcome to sleep in.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    If booked through Airbnb, you can cancel 5 days before your stay for a full refund.
  • What are the check-out procedures?
    Check-out is at 11AM on the designated date of checkout. Upon your departure we ask that you take the trash out, start the dishwasher with detergent, secure all windows and doors, turn off fans, lights and AC. For those units with keys, please leave them on the kitchen counter, making sure there is also a key in the lockbox.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
    Airbnb accepts Visa, MasterCard, Amex, JCB, and debit cards that can be processed as credit cards. You can also pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.
  • How do I obtain the keys?
    You will receive instructions prior to your arrival with keys information along with driving directions from the airport to the property, the code to the lock box, wifi password, etc
  • What is the minimum stay requirement?
    3 nights. Should you have an extenuating circumstance and need less, message us and we will do what we can to be flexible.
  • Do I need to get vaccinated before traveling to the Bahamas?
    Requirements have been lifted and now all visitors, regardless of their vaccination status, are welcome to travel freely to and throughout The Islands of The Bahamas.
  • Will my phone work?
    ATT / Verison / T-Mobile all work on the island, but you will need to check with your individual carrier for pricing.
  • How do I fly there?
    Abaco is easily accessible by a plane or ferry. The following airlines fly directly into Leonard M. Thompson International Airport (MHH) in Marsh Harbor which is a 20 minute drive from the villa American Airlines via Miami (MIA) Delta via Atlanta (ATL) Silver Airways via Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and locally within the islands Flamingo Air locally within the Bahamas Bahamasair via Fort Lauderdale (FLL), West Palm Beach (PBI), Nassau (NAS) and others Cherokee Air is a private charter
  • Do I need a Visa?
    In most cases no, the Bahamas is very easy to travel to but you should check here before traveling.
  • How do I get around the island?
    You will need a car to travel. You may choose to rent your own or ours. Rideshare (Uber / Lyfts) do not exist on the island and Villa is not walking distance to any resturants or businesses.
  • Is The Bahamas safe for tourists?
    Yes, the Royal Bahamas Police Force maintains a robust presence to ensure the safety of visitors and Bahamian residents. We encourage you to maintain awareness of your surroundings and valuables when in public areas, beaches, just as you would at home.
  • What clothes should I pack?
    Sandles, shoes, sleepware, swimsuit, tank tops, long sleeve sunshirt, hat, sunglasses (preferably with a floating strap). Be sure to pack a pair of long sleeves and long pants. It's the tropics and bugs can bite at dusk, dawn and when there is no breeze.
  • What is the currency of the Bahamas?
    The currency is the Bahamian Dollar; however, it is pegged 1:1 to the US Dollar. US currency and major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and SOMETIMES AmEx) are commonly accepted by vendors on the island. There is no need to convert USD. Note, American Express is NOT always accepted by vendors on the island.
  • Is English widely spoken in the Bahamas?
    While the Bahamas attracts people from all over the world, English is the most common language on the island.
  • How much alchocol am I allowed to bring into the Bahamas.
    You are allowed to bring in 1 quart of spirts and 1 quart of wine per customs (About 2 bottles). Feel free to visit the duty-free shop on your way to the island and keep your receipt.
  • What island is the Villa on?
